For the first few days my new flat seemed nicely painted and was quite proud of what me and the boys had done. A few days later I went to turn on the light in the cupboard on the realized it has been painted over and now rendered completely stuck. I thought well one causality of a good days work is not too bad. I can live with that. That is until I tried to open the windows in Kitchen. Stuck! Paint in the mechanism and paint in between the window frame. It is then that I vowed I would leave painting to the professionals who have the experience to take care with their work and get the job done quickly. I figure this way I can still have a beer on the couch and get the paint job done.
Tips to finding the right painter for you job.
- When I enquire about the price I like to have itemised what that price actually includes. If it includes sanding, filling holes with plaster, taping windows, clean up, the cost of paint etc. Occasionally I will complete or provide some of these jobs myself, and then I can make a deal with the painter to deduct them job the final price.
- I like to think that when employing most local business for a service that you need you want atleast 4-5 quotes before making your decision. Remember just because someone gives you a high quote doesn't mean they provide a quality service. Often they are simply so busy at the time that they cant justify doing your job for any cheaper.
Till next time. Jeff!
